\ud83c\udf3f A peaceful, family-run retreat in the heart of rural France<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>

Nestled in the tranquil countryside near Saint Christophe en Boucherie (36400), our small, English-owned campsite offers a relaxed and friendly escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by rolling fields and quiet lanes, it\u2019s the perfect place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the slower pace of rural France.<\/p>

With just a handful of pitches, the site has an intimate and welcoming feel. We offer 7 hardstanding pitches<\/strong>, including 3 suitable for caravans and large motorhomes, with a selection offering electric hook-up. In addition, there are 8 spacious grass pitches<\/strong>, ideal for smaller vans and tents. These are currently off-grid\u2014perfect for those seeking a more back-to-basics camping experience, with plans to introduce electric hook-ups in the future.<\/p>

Facilities are simple, clean and comfortable, including 2 showers and 3 toilets<\/strong>, along with a communal dishwashing area<\/strong>. Guests can relax at our small on-site bar, open daily from 9am to 12pm<\/strong> serving coffee, tea, soft drinks, ice creams and snacks, and again from 4pm to 8:30pm<\/strong> offering wine, beer and refreshments. The bar is also a social hub, hosting weekly pub quizzes and Saturday night bingo\u2014run by us, the owners\u2026 so don\u2019t expect perfection, but do expect a good laugh!<\/strong><\/p>

At the heart of the campsite is our inviting swimming pool\u2014not too big, not too small, but just right for cooling off, relaxing and enjoying a peaceful swim without the crowds. Families are very welcome, with a small children\u2019s play area, along with games including p\u00e9tanque and table tennis for a bit of friendly competition. We also have a selection of board games, books and Lego\u2014perfect for a quiet evening, rainy day, or a bit of competitive family fun.<\/strong><\/p>

The campsite is surrounded by nature, and guests are welcome to enjoy our orchard<\/strong>, where you can help yourselves to seasonal fruit such as cherries and apples. We also have a small honesty box<\/strong>, offering fresh produce grown on site including strawberries, tomatoes and eggs from our chickens\u2026 who work very hard for their rent.<\/strong><\/p>

Looking for something a little different, we also offer a 3-bedroom lodge sleeping up to 5 guests, with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside<\/strong>, along with a spacious safari tent sleeping up to 5 guests<\/strong>. The safari tent enjoys beautiful views over the countryside and overlooks our private animal enclosure, home to friendly chickens\u2014always a hit with both children and adults.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

At present, we do not have a waste disposal point on site; however, the nearest service point is located at the Super U supermarket in La Ch\u00e2tre, approximately a 15-minute drive from the campsite, where you can empty waste and refill as needed, and service points are widely available across France and easy to find during your travels.<\/p>

We are open 365 days a year to welcome guests throughout every season. Grass camping pitches are available from April through September, offering a perfect option for warmer months. Our hardstanding pitches are open all year round, providing flexibility whatever the weather. In addition, our lodge is available year-round for a comfortable stay, while our safari tent is open from April to September for a unique glamping experience.<\/p>

Whether you\u2019re stopping off or settling in for a longer stay, our campsite is all about peace, space and a warm welcome<\/strong>. Expect starry nights, birdsong in the morning, and a truly relaxing rural escape.<\/p>
